Very weak field for a 15k event - a great chance for some of the british players to gain some wr points.
I wouldn't be surprised if the cut goes down to Lalji or even as far as Harston.
Any of the higher ranked players asking for wild cards???? Poor show from the LTA if they give them to the higher ranked players (who just didn't bother signing up in advance) over the youngsters who actually need the wild cards.
Josh Goodall must fancy his chances here after the way he has been playing over the past few weeks.
Watch out for the American Cerretani, he's supposed to have a huge serve which will no doubt be very effective on the grass.
I think the higher ranked brits shoudl take their chances at Newport to offer practice for Davis Cup. Having said that the Felixstowe conditions may be similar to Eastbourne so some may want to acclimatise.

The highlights for me are Colin Flemming and David Rice winning there 2nd round matches but not in the same manner. Colin shouldn't of needed 3 sets to beat Robert Searle and David was suprisingly comfortable aggainst a much more exprienced opponent.
Strange to see Jonathan Marray in futures qualifying. Hopefully he can get through and do some damage and get his rankings where they should be.
Nice result for Arlidge. I have never heard of him, born in 88, so still young. Hopefully he can beat another seed ( PERIC, Tomislav (CRO) 4) and make the draw too.

Good news from Felixstowe. Fleming, Wire, and Rice have qualified and two Brit face eack other in the final match to be resolved. David Rice has the opportunity to win his first senior ranking point.
The LTA results page is probably the best place to look for updates.
The singles draw has been released. Wildcards have gone to British youngsters Iain Atkinson, Ed Corrie, Daniel Evans and of course Daniel Cox. Sadly Daniel Cox has had his usual bad luck and drawn 5th seed Harsh Mankad (wr-381)
Big congrats to David Rice and Richard Wire. Well done lads!
Well done for Colin for doing what he should have done, now go and steamroll the main draw boy!
As for the last all british qualifier, Bradshaw won a few qualifying matches in Turkey I believe and so may be a little more match tight than Seator but I don't really know anything!
Looking at main draw I think we should see at least a handful of British quarterfinalists and hopefully a British champion!
Hopefully Cox won't be too down....that was a horrible draw and he did well to get a set of him. I just wonder when he will get a sweet draw???? The lad has horrible luck.
In British futures events Daniel Cox always gets a wildcard, always draws a seed and always loses in three sets. It is disapointing that he misses the match practice from playing qualys and also misses out on winning ranking points but he is still very young, his chance will come eventually.
