RE: Wim R1 : Berlocq v Bloomfield

into the low 200s: 230- ish!

Berlocq was just going through the motions at the end - "think of the prize money"......

Well done to Bloomfield, winning so convincingly by the looks of the score, did anyone watch his match..?

I watched the last set and a half. he really looked like the better player, by a long way. Throughly deserved win.

He's being interviewed on 5 live right now:

thought his serve kept him out of trouble.

Whilst that was true it wasn't just his serve, he was setting up points and winning them very well. I was extremely impressed (in case you couldn't tell!). he had all the shots, the groundstroke could perhaps have hit the lines more but the volleys were near perfect and the lobs and smashes were well excecuted. He also played the right shots at the right time. Just very good, in my opinion.

I didn't see any of the match - Freeview didn't cover it - but he certainly impressed me when I saw him beat Dave Sherwood in Sunderland last year.

apparently the match in which bloomfield won was hit with a scandal. up to £300,000 was betted on the match for berlocq to lose, and they kept doing it till the last minute before the match started!

Yes, I heard that. The odds for Bloomers on Betfair went down to 1/10 (from 1/2)for him to win once news of Berlocq's lack of fitness leaked out.
