tough match for al, but at least he has played on the show courts before. he's his comments on the upcoming match:


But Bogdanovic summed up the mood that must prevail in the British camp. Yes he was full of admiration as watched Nadal win the French Open just two weeks ago but no he would not let himself be overawed by the quality of the opposition. “To my mind it is just a great opportunity to really show the tennis world what I can do,” said the 22 year-old. “I have got a bit of experience in this kind of situation, having played Lleyton Hewitt in a Davis Cup match in Australia when he was world no.1 and then Roger Federer here at Wimbledon a couple of years ago.


 “I really enjoyed both matches and think I learned from both. If I go out there thinking Nadal is a great player and I have no chance then I must as well not even turn up. I have got to work on the belief that grass is not his favourite surface, he hurt his shoulder at Queens and he must be feeling a bit tired. 


“I will treat him with the utmost respect but I have got to go out there thinking that I am on home territory and I have more experience of Wimbledon. I’m really looking forward to the match.”

at least boggo being positive and believes in himself and whatever happens (providing he give nadal some trouble!), i just hope he mentally prepared for the task ahead.

If Boggo can drag it to more than three sets, he has a good chance I believe.

nadal on grass isnt the same beast as on clay. Al has been playing well although the results didnt come, which is the problem with the overly strong grass events b4 wimby, nadal has been injured, shoulder and also his foot aparently but did get a few matches in on grass. he struggled past verdasco who respectvily was pushed all the way by alan in the q's.


alex has to go out there with no fear for who he is playing, yes rafa is great but he hasn't proved himself on grass yet. rafa wont know al's game, but alex has access to lots of footage on rafa and should be mentally prepared for how he will play.

Weather permitting, this match will be 3rd on Court 1.


At a rough guess I'd say about 4-4:30pm.

Great start from Boggo, holds serve to deuce.


15-15 on Rafa's serve.


The good news is Boggo doesn't look to be intimidated by Rafa!

The commentators want Boggo to come into the net more often (they seem to think that as a Brit that's where his strengths lie!), and he should but they mean all the time whereas I think it only needs to be part of the time.
