Excellent, im off school today after should i say an eventful evening yesterday and Andy is ion at 1:30 exactly when Sky start there coverage. We really need to be wary of Miryni because i saw him at queens against Hewitt (eventually winner) and he really put alot pf pressure on hewitt who plays a similar counter pounching game to Murray and he only scrapped through on a 3rd set tie-break. Ive gone for Andy in 3 anyway as im always optimistic. The win against Tursunov was the big one but getting Miyni staright after is a very tough draw. If he does win who will he possibly have in Round 3 and 4?
R3 would be either Seppi or Hrabty, R4 would be from Vanek/Bjorkman/Goldstein or Lopez.
IF he gets past the Beast, that is. Mirnyi is blogging for the ATP this week and a very surprising number of people who have done the blog have won the tournament.

The BBC actually have rights to show full coverage of the Aussie Open, Roland Garros and Wimbledon. This is the reason why they've been able to show Henman/Rusedski matches live from Melbourne or Paris when either player has done well. I don't know why they haven't utilised their rights to show all the Aussie Open and RG in the past, I think that they're now starting to use BBCi to show full live coverage of those two.
They used to have rights for the US Open but in 1995 Sky made a bid which the BBC couldn't match to have exclusive rights to the tournament for the next 12 years. The BBC had to settle for rights to radio coverage. The contract runs out in 2007 and I believe that the BBC should be able to obtain rights to coverage for 2008.
Will anyone be listening to the radio coverage for this match ?
I'm going for Murray in 3, Boggo was able to attack and take advantage of the Mirnyi 2nd serve yesterday and being a better returner Murray should be able to do the same. Murray loves playing against serve-volleyers and he's yet to lose to one [I don't think he's ever lost a set to a serve-volleyer]. His excellent hand speed and ability to shorten the backswing on the return enables him to get the ball down low to the onrushing server making them have to play lots of difficult low volleys at their feet. One of Murray's strength is that when an opponent is at the net, he doesn't go for an outright winner straight away, instead he aims to make them play a difficult low or half-volley setting himself up for an easy shot on the next point.
Hopefully Andy is able to keep his cool and his temper today, I'm a little worried that he might get frustrated and lose concentration if Mirnyi consistently serves big throughout the match and gives him few chances to break. In practise earlier this week with Jamie Baker, Andy was apparently unhappy with his play and making more holes in the court with his racket than the average lawnmower
