Come on Josh, win it in the tiebreak. Jenkins must be feeling like he hates tiebreaks by now having already lost two.

and Josh immediately gets the minibreak to go 3-0 up
make that two mbs for 4-0 Keep it up!

Woohoo, another Brit in the Draw! Well done, Josh

Is it just me or is this board really slow today?

Correct! He takes it 7-1 in the fourth set tiebreak.

I make that 10 Brits in the mens draw now hopefully they all get good draws!

Wow - that's really impressive work

- and that's 20 ranking points, which should gain him about 50 places

except he's defending 5 from a Wimbledon wildcard last year. Make it 15 ranking points and 30- odd places

A Brit makes it through SW19 qualifying...I wonder if the Beeb will report it ?

An excellent win for Josh. conditons today were extremely windy, and everyone was having trouble with the ball toss. I arrived just after Josh had won the first set tie -break. Josh had had the opportunity to serve and and failed. In his post match interview, Josh was asked about being 4-1 and 2 breaks down in the third set - he said that he decided to go for his shots more and being down made him relax. He siad the biggest factor in his successful week was his serve. As for wind, he said he liked playing in windy condition, it helped him focus....

Good luck to him next week, I think his form is good enough to beat a lot of clay courters...

Gosh Josh, that's a fab win!!

And thanks for the commentary Sally.  I've just been reading through it, pushing the air and banging my fist in the right places.  It was a tense match, just reading the scores!!
