I suppose it was a respectable showing against a decent player who is always difficult to break on grass. Let's just hope Al gets a nice draw at Wimbledon. He deserves it.
both tough opponets on grass. up against huge severs, you really have to just hope they cant find form, if they do well then theres not too much you can do, somethimes you have to just say too good. so far al hasn't won a grass match this year!! but has probably been playing the best tennis of his life, i guess thats the way the cookie crumbles. tough openers so far, lets hope the wimby drawmasters are kind.

Alex Bogdanovic, British number four stretched Andy Murray’s second round opponent to three tight sets but was eventually beaten by Mirnyi 6-4 6-7(4) 3-6.
Commenting after the match Alex said; “When you get a tie-break anything can happen. I was hoping to take the second set tie break but unfortunately it didn’t go my way. However I’m happy with the way I’m playing and I’m looking forward to Wimbledon.”
Max Mirnyi commented: ”It’s always tough to play against the Brits over here. Alex is a very talented player and he caused me a lot of problems. It was fantastic to win in the end.”
good for al for max to say that, rather than i was playing bad, but scraped through kinda comment, pure rankings wise that should have been a comfortable win for max.
Al has shown on grass at least he is close to top 50 lvl, just 1 or 2 points off, and thats probably donw to nerves. i hope he gets a chance to go up against some players around the 75 mark, he would have a much better chance there and then build his lvl up. hopfully he will scrap into newport, bagdahtais already has a wc there? did he forget to enter.
