I don't know about Baker, but they do still have a space to fill as they were waiting to see what Andy decided. Maybe they are going to give that space to Baker, would be very good for him if they do, although I can't see him winning anything against the 'star-studded' line up!

Baker Agassi! Brilliant. He will learn so much from that! I really like Jamies attitude from the interviews I've seen with him. Always learning!

Same here, I've been really impressed with him and I think he should be able to go far (hopefully into the top hundred!). I really hope the media isn't too hard on him if he loses badly at Wimbledon or something.

Agassi will be great experience. It's an exhibition event isn't it, does that mean it's a round robin type affair or will he have to win to get any more matches?

I think they do take these matches seriously as they all want as many matches on grass as possible before Wimbledon.

I have no doubt Baker will play to the best of his abilities and I hope that he surprises Agassi with how good they are!

Wow that's very impressive from Baker, that's only one break in each set. I'm getting more and more impressed by this guy!

Jamie is playing Fernando Gonzalez today. Not before 5pm.

Good luck to him.

Baker played in the final of the Boodles Challenger, he was a replacement for mardy fish who pulled out, he lost 6-2 6-0

however he stated:

“THE BOODLES CHALLENGE HAS BEEN THE FIRST TIME I’VE PLAYED AGAINST PLAYERS OF SUCH QUALITY SO IT HAS BEEN GREAT PREPARATION BEFORE WIMBLEDON. IT WAS A GREAT HONOUR TO PLAY AGAINST AGASSI EARLIER IN THE WEEK, AND WHILST TODAY WASN’T MY BEST PERFORMANCE, IT WAS A PRIVILEGE TO PLAY IN THE FINAL AND I’M SURE THE EXPERIENCE WILL HAVE TOUGHENED ME UP A BIT!”

Good week for Baker, hopes he get some luck out of the Seppi match!

As i couldn't find the result on the main website, i emailed the organisers of the event in reference to baker v gonzalez:

Fernando gonzalez beat jamie baker 6-7, 7-6, 7-5

great effort by jamie

Thanks Vik, I was wondering about that result. Well done to Jamie for taking a set off a top ten player and running him close for the rest of the match!

Edit: sorry I spelt your name wrong Vik.
