I think Andy will be at 44. I think that when points are tied the person with the most points from the compulsory tournaments goes higher. That would be Malisse with 418 (Andy only has 240 - mainly as he's not yet competed in them all!). Oh well, that's still a ranking rise of one place this week.
As for the Bjorkman/Seppi match. Short of them both retiring simultaneously we want Bjorkman to win. This is because he is defending 75 points at Wimbledon (Tim 35 and Seppi 20) so is the most likely of the two to give the place back during the next two weeks, I reckon!

Wouldn't you know it all of Andy's competitors are now out.Having done enough to bump him down a couple of places, Soderling and Serra both went out today.
Also knocked out was Seppi, so it looks like all those pins finally had an effect - 24 hours too late.
This means that Tim loses the one place we predicted, and Jonas Bjorkman was the man to do it, which I think was the preferred option?
So, at the end of the week:
Greg is still British number 1, WR41, (down 3) on 830 points. Defending 35 points (R2) at Wimbledon next week. Andy is still number 2, WR 44 (or joint 43! - up 1 or 2), on 826 points. Defending 75 points(R3) Tim is number 3, WR64 (down 2), on 615 points. Defending 35 points (R2)
Over the next two weeks, not only the Wimbledon points drop off, but also Newport, Gstaad and Bastad.
So Greg will be defending 35 for Wimby AND 175 for Newport. He better beat Safin!
Andy will be defending just the Wimby points, he played Newport last year I think, but went out in the first round if I remember correctly, so it is not in his total.

Yes, Greg, Moya and Youhzny were all on the same number of points. I think Imoen is probably right about how they sort out the order in that case, but Rob just puts them in alphabetical order of first names!
