Tim drops a place to 63rd, as Gasquet makes the quarters


Santoro  wins, but doesn't regain his place from Andy, as he had a higher 18th result


That just leaves Serra,  who won that first set , but is a break down against Robredo in the second


Poor old Feli Lopez - if Serra wins, he may end up not gaining any positions at all as all five above him also win!

Table updated.


Murray, Serra, Soderling, Simon, Gasquet, Bjorkman advance.


Andy now WR 41. Will advance to 36th, and British number 1 if he beats Seppi tomorrow.


Could drop to 46th if he loses tomorrow, and all five of his near competitors win.


Tim now WR 63. Safe unless Bjorkman or Seppi make the final.


Greg still WR 39. Could lose up to six places, if Andy & his posse all win tomorrow

Today's matches are underway.


Simon is already a set down against Gasquet


Soderling is at 1-1 in the first against Tipsy.


Serra was one set down , but just won the second set tie- break against JC Ferrero


So keep jabbing those pins!


Santoro and Lopez come later.

Simon currently serving to stay in the match at  3-6 1-5 down! On final twist of the pin should do it


Soderling currently at 6-5 on serve against Tipsy. Pins need a bit more tweaking there plesae.


Serra currently at 1-1 with JCF in the final set. So once again give those pins a twist
