That's a bit more like it

Now then Richard, Robin & Xabby, time to feel those stiffening muscles and remember that Wimbledon's just a  week away, so it's not worth putting in too much effort..........

Wow, that's all four of Andy's main threats getting through to the third round.

So, the match with Max gets even more important. If he doesn't win that, then any of the four who win their third round matches will go past him

First post updated.  Vliegen, Soderling & Gasquet advance.

Over to Imoen, for the in depth interviews in the locker room.

Ok first question is who put the pin into Andy's ankle? That's NOT the idea people! Luckily none of the pins were working very well today so not too much damage has been done.

Vliegen appears to be on a roll at the moment, surging away from both Andy and Greg so we're taking him off the list, it would be a waste of pins.

The important people to 'stick it to' are Gasquet and Goldstein (for Tim) and Serra, Soderling, Simon and Lopez (really, really need them all to lose please). A couple of pins into Santoro as well so that he doesn't get out of reach of Andy or get too close to Greg. Oh, and please remember Mr. Mirnyi. He requires special attention. For ideas for what ills to wish apon him, see the ATP blog which he is doing. Anyone in Nottingham if you could go poison the food in every subway in town that might work.

News from the locker room is very hard to get, however I have heard a rumour that those around Andy in the rankings were playing through a dull ache in their matches today and Tursunov complained that he had pins and needles all over, particularly in the second set, meaning he couldn't capitalise on his opponent's injury. Pins need to be sharper tomorrow though, perhaps Madeline could let us know where she found her pin sharpening machine?

Ok, it's time to get the first of those newly- sharpened pins, and start twisting it in the model of Gilles Simon. He's on court in Nottingham, up against lucky loser Jan Vacek.  5-4 Vacek in the first set.

These new, sharper pins are working great: Vacek won the first set 6-4  and is a break up, 2-0 in the second!
