I've also gone for Sonay, her return has been remarkable and she had good results in the tournaments leading up to her amazing run to the final in Wuhan. Spectacularly made the most of her PR!
Edit: I also want to note I'm delighted for Ella who has had some really impressive wins this month out in the states and it's exciting to see another of our ladies benefitting from college tennis

Thanks Sammmm, and concur. Let's see if Ella can get some more decent runs under her belt in the last few weeks of the ITF season.
A couple of weeks ago I was certain I would vote for Sonay. She and Fran are my favourites and always pull me their way. Then I so much loved watching Hannah at Wrexham I thought I'd vote for her. However Harriet's win last week has won me over as it was so unexpected. Whatever you think of her that win was deserved for all the hard work and dedication she has put in over so many years. Hannah and Sonay will both win many more POS in the future but this month I have to go to Harriet.
Like others I had originally been sure it was going to be Sonay but then along came the two Hs to make my life more difficult. Earlier in the month I had been looking to see why I had sunk like a stone in the year end predictions chart to realise that when we had the substitution round I had swapped out Sonay as I did not think she would make a come-back so decisively. To assuage my guilt and to show I have no grudge against her I have voted for Sonay in this poll.
I can add little to what has been said already about Sonay and Harriet above. They have both have made huge cases this month, and if Hannah had gone and won back to back W100 and W75 titles I think that may have made it even more intriguing. But heck she only made the SF of the second one, and soared up to WR 234 and U18 #3, just not good enough
Ultimately after some comings and goings in my head - I kind of started as a Sonay voter ...... and ...... I am ending as a ....... Sonay voter. She is ultimately my Player of the Month.
I am really impressed by Harriet's win but my vote goes to Sonay not just for the calibre of top players she won against especially Svitolina but her wisdom in not rushing back after injury and she must have done some pretty impressive and creative training to come back to tournament play with no match practice and not be rusty. Full of admiration for her.
After Sonays miracles at the beginning of October I thought Player of the Month was nailed on and untouchable.
And then Hannah comes along and finally delivers performance after performance, and warrants a mention in dispatches.
Then out of the blue, Harriet becomes a player I didnt think she could be and delivers a simply wonderful week of tennis.
In most months, I would vote for Harriet. An unmatchable week. But whilst I feel my stomach turning as I click the Sonay button, her performance was a miracle. Sorry H.
interesting vote movement as we hit 16 votes. Let's not beat around the bush, it is a two horse race and it is a v tight two horse race with just 1 vote in it!
