By my reckoning she still needs to add at a minimum 50 points, preferably 75 to make the MD of the AO. She still has this week and then 2 further tournaments to add those points but of course others are also still adding points.
Either way she's building a solid foundation for next year.
Harriet broke at 4-3*. Got to match point but double faulted (she went for a big slice down the middle and went just wide - it wasn't like a nervy double).
5-4*
Badosa struggling physically but just smacking everything.
Harriet played at quite a high level with some great shots. A few double faults but a worthy winner. Though, it has to be said that Badosa could barely move for half the match.
Good chance to win the tournament for Harriet if she continues playing as she is.
Harriet will play the 2010-born Chinese starlet (who lives and trains in Serbia), Xinran Sun
I've been a mega fan of hers ever since seeing her at Les Petits As - she was quite a character - refused to give any interviews as she said her English was not acceptable
The crowd will be crazily behind the youngster (who looks about 12, to be honest)
Xinran has a beautifully fluid, natural game, and amazing clutch mentality
Xinran Sun is junior world no1. Winner of the US Open juniors in 2026 and runner up at both at French and Wimbledon juniors so versatile on 3 surfaces.
SF:- Harriet Dart (GBR) WR115 [Q4] v Xinran Sun (CHN) WR405/16yo/JR1
Well, this will be fun

Can't volley though
Hazzer could well unsettle her
PS Sorry - seems to be a duplicate
