After reaching the J100 final last week, Megan Knight stays in Cairo for a J200 event.  She is in the same quarter of the draw as top seed Jahnie Van Zyl, who she played twice recently (one win each)

R1 (L32)

Ana Ioana Varsa (ROU) v (8) Megan Knight

It seems I was premature in commenting on the wider draw, as Megan lost her opener today - possibly impacted by her effort last week

R1 (L32)

Ana Ioana Varsa (ROU) d. (8) Megan Knight 6-4 5-7 6-0
