Brengle has a very odd service action. She hardly draws her arm back at all, so it looks more like she is hurling the ball over the net rather than striking it.

Yep I thought that was very odd. So Ella in qualifying for NBTX Open? Any SE available ?

That will be a new CH of around 324 for Ella on Monday, more than covering her Wrexham points from last year

Ella is third on the qualiying acceptance list and there are 2 SE places and one available place, so should be in. It's a Sunday draw anyway, so a day off tomorrow regardless.

What a fantastic win and week for Ella, lovely to see her playing so well again after what seemed like a disappointing summer. Which college year is Ella in now?

Same as last year. Lambda explained in her US college section, Ella has already qualified for next years college competitions so she has this semester to work on her senior ranking. It is really working for Ella.

I think we sometimes forget that Ella graduated from juniors with a world ranking of 8. Injuries have impeded her progress but now she is starting to fulfill her potential. She is still only 21 so a lot further to go.
