Ha, thanks guys. I think someone had told that profile story in the past, I'd obviously forgotten.

Can I nominate Hannah Klugman? Her performance at Wrexham so far is way above her current ranking. She also seems so well balanced and mature for her age. I like her very much.

Hi Julia. Of course you can! I'll add her to the list for you but do you want to write a supporting narrative ? I can then add that to the list as well or you can just add it after her name if you "quote" the list and re post it.

Or if you prefer not to, someone else I'm sure would add a narrative for her.

is her final tomorrow? Maybe worth writing something after the final is played?

Nominations:

1. Madeleine Brooks and Amelia Rajecki - winning the WTA125 doubles title in Jingshan, China. Millie's second title at this level and Madeleine's first. They are both climbing up the rankings towards the top 100 - live ranked 120=NCH and 116

2 Gordon Reid - after winning the French Riviera Open wheelchair mens doubles title in Nice, Gordon re-ascends to outright top spot in the world rankings, edging ahead of his partner and good friend, Alfie Hewett. Having won three of this seasons grand slam mens doubles titles, a well deserved accolade for Gordon. He backed it up by then taking the WC500 title, the Paratennis du Loiret, by beating Gustavo Fernandez in the final.

3 Cornelia Oosthuizen - aged 47, Cornelia becomes British number one in wheelchair women's singles for the first time (world ranking of 20) in the 5th October rankings release.

4: Sonay Kartal - for making round three of consecutive WTA 1000 tournaments. Hopefully the start of a good few weeks for Sonay in her quest to return to the top 100. And now with huge wins over Kalinina, Bencic , Paolini Svitolina and Ostapenko she has reached the Wuhan final and is comfortably inside the top 100. In fact shes in the top 50 ! Her performance in outlasting world no 6 Svitolina ( who is enjoying her best ever year ) was especially impressive And she followed it up with a really gutsy 2 close tiebreak straight sets win over Ostapenko. In beating Paolini, Svitolina and Ostapenko she has out fought 3 of the biggest fighters there are. She looked set to win the final too at a set and a break up but ultimately ran out of gas. She is now British number 1 and the first British player to reach a W1000 final since Jo Konta in 2019. All this after that 6 month injury absence.

5. Cameron Fryer & Kyle McKay - present and at least past of Stirling University, aged 21 & 20 respectively, with no ATP rankings in singles or doubles, the pair won the Redbridge M25 doubles title, beating the 2nd, 3rd & 4th seeds along the way. Kyle also came through qualifying and won his MD R1 to earn a singles ranking.

6. Ella McDonald - won both the singles and doubles ( with Kyle Collins, USA ) titles at the Austin, TX W50, the singles from qualifying and beating Madison Brengle WR 192 in the final. In her one previous tournament this month Ella reached the Templeton, CA W100 singles SF also from qualifying. Her singles ranking has risen from WR 423 at the start of the month to a CH live ranked 327 and GB #9.

7. Hannah Klugman -
