The four Brits who are accepted into the US Open main draw or qualifying have all opted to play this traditional warm-up tournament.  They have brought it forward a day from Sunday this year, presumably to minimise the risk of those in US Open qualifying being stuck here without a Special Exempt

There is an enormous disparity between this event and last week's event

In the girls, for instance, there were 5 players in the top 15 last week

This week there's only 1 girl in the top-30

Indeed, the second seed is ranked 38

Good news, maybe, for Dani and Hollie

But very strange - it wasn't like this last year

The tournament website credited Mark with winning all 3 sets, but ITF has clarified that the score was 6-1 6-7(4) 6-3 Dani is the only one of the 4 playing singles today

A long battle seemingly for Dani today, with the tournament website reporting a 7-6 6-7 7-6 win (don't know the tiebreak scores). A straightforward win in doubles for Mark/Rhys

It's 4/4 again and with 3 convincing wins today smile  Rhys will need to keep an eye on other results to work out whether he would get one of the two Special Exempts to the US Open and thus avoid qualifying.

Not sure if hes playing here but anyone seen teodor Davidov - 16 year old, hes ranked about 150 in juniors but has ATP points and is ranked 1500 in ATP. More importantly he plays forehand both sides, single handed and no backhand.

Interested if anyone has a view on him or his potential?

Excellent news from Canada, as Daniella and Rhys both come through early matches. The upshot is that Rhys should be safe with an SE for the US Open (if he had just been left in doubles there might have been two players lower ranked in singles or higher ranked in doubles with prior claim)

 He isn't playing here, and has not yet been drawn against any Brits, at least in Juniors, so I haven't seen him play other than in this clip of him in action

Dani and Anna P have pulled out of the doubles

Which may be because Dani had a long singles game

But may well also be because Anna P has calculated that she won't get an SE place in the US Open MD and so needs to get there for qualis

My livescore page has Mark with a tick for having won - but the score showing he lost in 3 sets - I'm guessing the score is more reliable but I've no real basis for this

I also thing Rhys and Mark have pulled out of their doubles too - but again it's not clear on the site

It looks like Mark has joined Rhys in the boys semis. I say looks like, as the tournament website shows Mark with a winner's tick, but a scoreline in the Spaniard's favour. However the ITF has a reversed scoreline in Mark's favour

Dani+ have given a walkover in doubles - don't know the reason, as both are in the US Open main draw. Anna Pircher did not play singles, despite being in the acceptances, so might be nursing a niggle. Hollie and the boys doubles are later tonight.
