If only Jack had been able to hang on to the break he had in the early part of the second set...  Doubt he'd have got past Dimi, though!

 Yes - a frustrating loss, as apart from the tiebreak issues mentioned by others he was in charge at 4-2 in the second, and lost his break unnecessarily with an unconcentrated game

I was looking at Toby's ranking and it's amazing to see that last September / November he was still playing 15K tournaments. He really has come a long way in a short period of time.

Bertola served for match at 5-3 in second set and had a match point at 5-4. Harry just served for match at 5-3. Had 2 match points but broken

Well, it looks like Harry's was a pretty 'lucky' win - bit of a wing and a prayer, getting out of that second set

Which sort of makes up for Jack PJ's match, which was the 'unlucky' match

And as I've always had a soft spot for Harry, but not Jack (much as I wish him well), that suits me just fine

Incredible win for Harry!!

This time last year he was ranked 480ish in the world, and in Sep 2025, he lost to Bertola in a third set tiebreak in qualiying for a challenger in France. He'll be happy to have got this one.

One win away from the US Open main draw and a LOT of cash banked

 Yes, absolutely.

And this sort of builds on what Indy was saying earlier, in that not only the big group of players in the 300s, but ones like George Loffhagen, say, should all see this as what is possible  

2026, with Wimbly and here, has certainly been a big cash year for Harry biggrin
