Exellent - I have a soft spot for Tom and sorry, Ali, but two Brits beats one Brit in the fanclub stakes

A bit of Summers Magic from Matt with some handy help from Tom, well done guys, again!

Both have previously done okay with various partners but it just shows how finding the right partner can be transformational. I'm not getting too exited yet but their recent escapades remind me of how Henry and Julian started their meteoric rise four (?) years ago. Onwards and upwards.

I don't know if you know, Mark, but - as above - I've got a soft spot for Tom Hands, and he's obviously not a complete spring chicken any more ..... I know he did a bit of coaching (as most do), and odd jobs here and there, but I saw on his Linkedin more recently that he's working for Hawk-eye, as a systems operator, installation or whatever - seemed quite a fun, tennis-related sort of job smile

Hi CD, I did not know any of that so thanks for posting. I am interested to know these things especially as I wonder how many of our players manage to make ends meet, but that is another post for another day.  Unfortunately I do not get the time to look at any Social Media or anything like Linkedin and only dip in here now and again.  What pleases me most here is that after years of slogging away the rewards are starting to come in. Thanks again for the info I am always interested to know about any back story or side interests etc.

You're welcome, Mark

Like you, I'm always curious to have some insight into how most of our players are managing to get by - it's obviously not from pro tennis

I don't do Facebook and tik-tok or whatever it's called

But I do sometimes look up players to see what things are online about them and Linkedin is quite good for pro stuff (as opposed to where they've been on holiday or whatever, which is other social media stuff)

Every time I go to a club I look at who their coaches are - and it's nearly always names that we've been following on here 5 or 10 years back or whenever

And then there are those who follow quite a different track

Good luck to all of them - it's a tough life but, overall, they seem to enjoy it
