third match in August for Ollie and Charles - split 1 all at the moment. All at Roehampton.

Interesting to see who comes out on top in this one.

Basing vs Broom for the live GB #15 spot. Much coveted

Hail Charles who retains GB live GB #15 for now. Actually he will move right up to GB #11 if he wins the title here, whilst taking out his CH 235 from 2024.

Ollie though is a tough obstacle, and at now live 307 he has already taken out his existing CH 324

Wow. I've seldom (ever?) seen George play so comfortably within himself

So few AWOL moments - so confident in what he's doing, and that it will be enough, without pushing it

I couldn't find a stream but always had George and Arthur as my favs that I think could rise so pressure now left to George after Arthur's rise :p

Charles is almost there on this, 6-4 5-4 and deuce on Ollie's serve

They seem to be well matched, in this their third straight head to head in Roehampton

It is beyong belief that Charles hasn't won this set yet - it's just like at RG - the guy absolutely goes into his shell on the important points - he's done ALL the hard work, it's all set up for him, and then.....

Good on Oliver Tarvet for agreeing to replay the point when the linesperson was clearly wrong (in his favour) and the umpire didn't correct it

Ollie, sadly, seems finally to have run out of steam & Charlie rediscovered the art of killing it off:

SF:  (6) Charles Broom WR 258 defeated Oliver Tarvet WR 329 by 6-4 5-7 6-1

*****

Final:  (6) Charles Broom WR 258 vs George Loffhagen WR 496

With all due respect to Charlie, c'mon, Loffers!
