Yes, great chance for Arthur to be seeded for the Australian Open.
Of what will now be 1413 ranking points, he only has 5 counters worth a total of 74 ( net 71 ) points due off before the relevant date for seeding, 11/01/27. Hopefully he can add quite a bit more than that during the rest of this season.
just by the by, as we wait for action this afternoon, this is a prety amazing little story about Grozny, the US wildcard, who was bitten by a mosquito while playing a juniors event, contracted encephalitis, pu in an induced coma, and his parents told his chances were about 5%.....
Just playing at a pretty low level with nothing really working. Musetti playing well though.

Thanks. I did wonder if he might have run out of juice after his great run last week, and whether he's just adjusting to his now set of challenges at this level.

I just hope it doesn't sap his confidence at GSs.
Musetti is a good player and Arthur certainly didnt let himself down. It was a very tough draw. Grrr to Casper Ruud!
lots of time now to work and grow in atp events before Melbourne and Australia
L64: (27) Tomás Martín Etcheverry (ARG) WR 32 defeated (LL) Jacob Fearnley WR 101 by 6-3 6-3 3-6 6-3
L64: (18) Jiri Lehecka (CZE) WR 19 defeated (Q) Toby Samuel WR 110 by 4, 2 & 4
So that's that for the men!
Shame to wake up to but no real surprise as Lehecka is a good player. Coming out of the week with Machac as a scalp and qualifying is good and, very credibly, a top 100 ranking
