Well, the best case scenario now, is Andy gaining 1 place. Luckily most of the people immediately behind Andy are out. Pins required in: Santoro, Soderling, Mirnyi, Clement, Mayer and Gasquet. In that order for behind. (actually Gasquet and Mayer can't overtake this week even if they won the tournament but thinking ahead to Wimbledon we want everyone behind to have further to climb!) In front, the only one within 100 points left in is Vliegen so lets turn him into a pin cushion for having the audacity to overtake Greg this week.

Santoro plays Clement, and will overtake if he wins so oodles of pins into him please. (Clement needs to reach the final, so pins into him immediately after the win!)
Soderling plays Pavel and then either Seppi or Haas. He must win both those matches to overtake so pins into him also, it would be immensely preferable for him to lose this round!
Mirnyi plays Hewitt. He must reach the final, getting past Nadal/Verdasco (and Henman)
Mayer and Gasquet are more if you have malevolence left over and are looking for someone to stick pins into!

So worst case scenario is Andy dropping 3 places, but hopefully it won't come to that!

For Tim's ranking's sake, any chance we could pin into Pavel this round, and Soderling's the next?

Of course, I hadn't remembered Pavel was a threat to Tim, to him this round! Then on to Soderling.

Oh dear, looks like it's Tim's day, rather than Andy's: Santoro beat Clement to take the 44th ranking spot from Andy. Soderling also beat Pavel, to move just 14 points behind AM.

Ok the bad news is Santoro won yesterday so best case scenario is no change once again.

In order for this to happen we need Soderling to lose today so All efforts bent towards that please!

No one else can overtake this week so worst case is now, Andy dropping one place. He needs to win some matches at Wimbledon though otherwise he'll drop roughly 5 places, possibly out of the top 50 depending on what those around him do.

Haas: Soderling  2:2 first set.  This is one we want Tommy to win on home soil!

Haas takes the first set 75, more pin work needed to ensure the win though please guys!

Marvelous but keep the pins sticking in, just in case!
