Carpico and Filin are in college  at The Ohio State University so their rankings can be ignored. They won the collegiate wild card play-offs which they got entry to by being runners-up at last season's NCAAs. They finished last season as the No 6 ranked doubles team with a 37-6  record. One of those 6 loses was to their teammates our Alex Okonkwo partnered with Alex Bernard last October.
