The third counter for Savannah is proving rather elusive.
Yes but I'm sure it won't take long. Savannah has had two close defeats against Brooke Black and a really high standard match today in which I saw her lose 5 and 5 to Eliz Maloney. Just a bit of luck in the draw is all that is needed.
Eliz beat Savannah DM 7-5 7-5 to come through qualiying in her last 4 tournaments: Nottingham W50, Dublin W50, Roehampton W35, Aldershot W35. She reached MD R2 last week in Roehampton, beating Mimi. Competive MD losses in these tournaments to Naiktha, Millie, and Ella.

Yes, very true! Eliz has been playing really well since re-modelling her forehand with Tom Kisiel at Loughborough. One would have hoped that the powers that be might have noticed and given her at least one main draw wild card. Instead they continue to be tossed out like confetti to the LTA's favoured few!

Eliz certainly looks on course to be a top 500 player again.

Yes, but it all depends on what timeframe she's given herself and what timeframe her financial position will allow
Allegra just hit the worst second serve I've ever seen to get broken when serving for the match. It went over the fencing at the side of the court and landed on either the grass or footpath outside the courts. Throughout the game she was so passive and completely collapsed
Both Allegra, Dani and Indi lose in the decider after taking the first set. Indi seems to have problems staying focused, she almost always has a drop off after winning a set and it was like she switched off after getting back to 5-all
A little disappointing but it's true that Allegra was playing the 3rd seed, ranked about 200, and a wily player, who's been around a bit.
Dani obviously was also playing a high seed and is right at the start of her pro career, barely played any adult matches, so no one really expected a win
