They did - three times in 2021, 2022 and 2023. But Harriet has played there with Maia twice since and Katy five times before that.

Weather in New York looks bad today - thunderstorms around. Play is only just starting - almost 3/4 hour late

So 'frequently' could probably be used to describe all the partnerships, no? Of all the things to bash the BBC with, I'm not sure I'd go with this one smile - there's enough Harriet & Hev pairings to satisfy 'frequently' (which - after all - is a vague word anyway)

No play at the moment due to rain. Not a great forecast either - lots of the matches first up are half way through though.

All the matches scheduled for today have now been cancelled for today due to the weather.

The forecast is a little better for tomorrow, especially later in the day, but it sounds like there could be thunderstorms from Sunday through to Wednesday, so could be a chaotic start to the US Open.

Heather v Harriet now showing as second on Court 8 for tomorrow (Friday) and Fran moved to the second natch on Court 15.

I updated this post as play was cancelled for the day, shortly after I wrote this initial post.

Heather has started the stronger

ALthough service holds might be at a premium in this match

I know Harriet has never been a chunky person but she does seem to be taking slender to a whole new level - hope it's not a problem

Heather takes the first set 6-2

And a deserved score

TBF Harriet looks pretty much the same as when I first saw her play ten years ago - so I think that's her natural build.

First set to Heather 6-2 - but there will be drama later, I'm sure !

Yes, she's always been slender but the photos I have from her at age 17 or 18 are not quite as slender as she is now - although I realise that both men and women get more 'cut' as they get older, the teenage body is a little 'softer'

But comparing to photos, it doesn't look quite the same to me

The attached is the only photo I have from back then - Chiswick 2015 v Lucy Brown - not a good photo !
