Nominations:

1.Arthur Fery- The only British singles player, male or female, to win more than 1 Wimbledon round . Ex Stanford student athlete Fery went 4 rounds better than any of the others. Not bad for a player ranked outside the top 100, and now he has climbed to #38, making him ( at least temporarily ) British no 1.Wins over Bergs, Dimitrov and Coboli helped take him to the semis before coming up against number 2 seed Zverev. Truly sensational run , will take some beating this month .

2. Oliver Page - coming into Wimbledon ranked junior 323, Ollie surprised us all with a great run to the last 8. His win loss for the year had been 16 wins and 9 losses, this Wimbledon run out did that form and some! 

3. Henry Patten - wins his 2nd Wimbledon doubles title in 3 years, again with his regular partner Harri Heliovaara. They go over 2500 points clear as joint WR 1s and already seal their place at the ATP Tour Finals. In his winners' speech Henry gives a passionate defence of doubles in the face of the proposed ATP changes.

4. Alfie Hewett/Gordon Reid - winning their 7th Wimbledon wheelchair doubles title and 25th grand slam doubles title in total, the top pair in the game - certainly now and possibly ever 

5. Jake Fearnley - winning the CH125 in Newport, his first title for almost 2 years, followed by reachingg the final of the CH125 in Bloomfield Hills the following week. Building on his run to the Ilkley final in June, these two tournaments have lifted him to around WR 110. Throughout both tournaments, he demonstrated a lot of grit and self-belief, with many matches going to 3 sets and numerous match points saved in the final in Newport. Unfortunate to see he's withdrawn from his next tournament with an injury and the tennis (especially the serve) still seems to be a work in progress but he's on his way back.

6. Jan Choinski - winning the CH125 in Braunschweig on his favoure clay, consolidating the top 100 position he achieved during the grass season with a rise to a new CH of WR75. This should also secure Jan direct entry to the main draw of the US Open as he more than covers the points dropping off in the next few weeks. Rounded the month off with a CH75 win in Bonn and reassured his spot in the mid 70s after a successful month. 

7. Henry Searle - winning his second successive challenger title (either side of Wimbledon) and putting himself on a 10-match winning streak in challengers, by taking the title at the Nottingham CH50. He rises nearly 60 places to a new CH of WR 214 and has almost certainly secured himself a place in qualies for the US Open.

8. Alicia Barnett - winning the WTA125 doubles title in Kitzbuhel with her french partner after they reached the final of the WTA125 in Sweden the week before. It is their first title together since an ITF W75 title last year and Alicias biggest title since she won her first tour level title in 2022. Hopefully with more European clay events this month they can add to their success.

9. Alicia Dudeney - winning her biggest singles title of her career to date W50 Nottingham. It is her 5th singles title this year and her 8th since graduating last year.

10. Savannah Dada-Mascoll - winning her 1st pro title with the W15 Monastir doubles title. With just having played a W15 last December and a QWC to Ilkley last month, this is where the ITA's most Improved player of the year starts her pro career. And quickly follows on in style with the Aldershot W35 doubles title, partnering Kristina Paskauskas, without dropping a set along the way and beating the top seeds, Emily Appleton and her Slovak partner, in the final.

11. Brooke Black - for winning her biggest doubles title at the W50 Nottingham. 

12. Anna McBride - at the Virtus Games in Poland, Anna proved herself once more the best in her class. Despite challenging circumstances with health and politics, Anna took 6 medals, including 4 golds. She won World gold in singles and mixed, and European singles and mixed also. World and European champion, once more!

13. Maia Lumsden - 3 WTA 250 doubles finals in 3 weeks, all as 4th seed, winning the last 2. First final in Athens partnering Tang Qianhui, beating the 2nd seeds in the SF and losing to the top seeds in the final. Then in Prague, partnering Harriet Dart, where she went one better and took the title. And again in Memphis, partnering Mariia Kozyreva, beating the 2nd seeds in the final for another straight sets final win. Up to a new CH of 49, her CH prior to this month being 57 from 2024.

14. Toby Samuel - Toby keeps on doing it, his 3rd challenger title of the season and he wins his first CH75 title, taking him to a new career high and getting close to the top 100. Another week this month and he may just do it. What a season Toby is having 

15. Francesca Jones - for winning back to back WTA 125 tournaments in Rome and Palermo before retiring a set up in the SF in Targu Mures. Indeed faced with a month of defending a seemingly daunting 290 points ( including 2 WTA 125 titles ), she added 324 ( net 323 ) points ( again including 2 WTA 125 titles ). Just great to see her back in such good form and poised close to getting back in the top 100 again after that horrendous gym injury earlier in the year.

16. Amelia Rajecki. Reached the doubles final in the Nottingham W50 (with Victoria Allen) before giving a walkover. Followed this with winning the W50 doubles title in Dublin (with Ella McDonald) as well as reaching the singles final, beating two top 250 players on the way.

17. Julian Cash and Lloyd Glasspool . A return to form from our former world no 1 pair, winning Washington after largely disappointing clay court and grass seasons that saw them plummet in the rankings , winning their first event since Hamburg in April , Onwards and upwards ?
