A scan on Sunday (28 June) revealed a stress fracture in her lower right leg. "I've done everything possible to try to get to the start line tomorrow, but after a final scan tonight, the niggle I've been managing has developed into a stress fracture,

Katy's retirement from professional tennis hasn't lasted long.

Well, it is doubtful whether she will actually play this week, but it is close to where she lives so she entered. She'll be off abroad in a few weeks anyway.

Katy also down as an alt for Aldershot the following week, is this an oversight on her part. She does have ex Tennis Player on her instagram? and she must still be on the doping control list so maybe she has decided to keep her options open. A trip away leading a normal life may consolidate her decision or possibly reinvigorate her.

 Yes

Ryan is a coach at Dukes now, I believe

Which is pretty close

Indeed, if you look down the list of head, senior and club coaches at Duke, you see a lot of names from this board

Neil Pauffley, Alex Jhun, Samm Butler, Enrique Vidal, Tiran Sanghera and a lot more

To be fair, she did say she had qualified for a money tournament at the end of the year, presumably something to do with the Hotel Planner Tennis Tour and was going to keep match fit until then by playing a bit in the UK. But as she said she had played her last professional match I hadn't thought that included ITFs.

See Lambda's post from 3 days ago. Keeping her options open until she goes to Australia at the end of the month.
