She is the top seed in this week's tournament in Palermo, so she has a chance at another good run with the possibility of getting back in the top 100.

I think Fran will drop points from winning a WTA125 this time last year so she will need to win Palermo just to maintain this week's ranking gain. After that she has a chance to start moving back up towards the top 100.

Yes, Palermo 2025 drops on 27/07 so Fran is showing as live ranked 128 on OER. Defending the title would put her back to around WR109

Did anyone see the video of Fran consoling Bronzetti after the match? In short, the Italian was completely overcome with emotion, absolutely distraught at how shed played (dont know if there were other things going on off the court) and Fran put her arms around her and was clearly giving her a positive pep talk for a good 10-15 seconds after the match. Just fantastic to see.
