The Italians are the pair that took the place of Zach Stephens & Dominick Mosejczuk (USA) at the start of the competition.  They proceeded to dump out the top seeds, Ianin & Omarkhanov, in three sets in the QF & have just despatched the fourth seeds, Cossu & Pleshivtsev, in straight sets (4 & 3).
