12 women in the last 16 of a W50 level event is great from a points perspective - in fact, in general, that feels like that won't have happened much in the past, if at all? (Realise if it has, it would be a British event!)
I think winners today will be, Hannah (just), Vic, Alice, Brooke, Alicia, Indi
Hannah has settled quickly after losing her serve to start, being very aggressive on Ella's serves and making good use of the drop shot today, sometimes I feel like she over uses it rather than it being a surprise shot, won 5 straight games and is 5-1 up and serving for the set
Vic serves out the 1st set at the second time of trying, can someone tell me more about Vic because I see she had a 4 or so year gap before playing again in 2024 and had a strong year last year?
Hannah was in the driving seat for nearly all that match
Both players have trouble with serve (the wind, maybe, if one were being generous)
Ella played better in the second, but the score was more than fair
Agreed it always felt like Hannah was in control even through the break trading in the second set. Ella had a MTO at 5-4* in the second but not sure what for
Thanks for that Lambda, looks like she was particularly successful in doubles with Millie Bissett who is doing another year at FSU?
Millie should have finished at college in May, but she's been out with an ACL injury since February. Under the eligibility rules that applied at the time, for missing a significant chunk of the season with injury she gets another year of eligibility. She said shortly after her surgery she was coming back as a grad student

At 4-4, Hannah played in behind Ella in a rally and Ella turned and fell
I think she wrenched her leg slighty but she carried on and won that game
And then had an MTO where the physio was moving her leg/hip a bit
