What's going on with Mimi??
She has hardly won a match this year..

I think she had A-Levels earlier this summer but this looks like being a particularly disappointing result

Mimi is now 2-12 for the year. The wins were at a W35 in Monastir and a WTA125 in Birmingham. She has stepped up a level, with only 2 W35's this year, and has played 8 tournaments at W100 or above.

From what I saw in the second set, she seems to have been a bit passive today.

I really like Mimi and her style of play but today was the worst Ive seen of her in a while, too passive, I think she just needs some time and confidence and she will be back but yeah not good enough today.

She struggled with injury towards the end of last year and earlier this year and has just lost her momentum. I am sure she will get it back in a week or two. As you say lost her confidence.

As I understand Mimi just takes an A Level to keep her mind active. She is on the tour as from over a year ago. Just really troubled with injury so she just cant get a good run at it at present.

Thanks Var that makes sense, she's got quite a few points to defend come the autumn so hopefully she can get some match fitness back by then

Mimi's insta after Wimbledon starts off:

'After a challenging few months with injuries....."

It's obvious she's not really right yet

Nb she did her maths A level a year early, no?

Mika has made a very strong start against Dodin

Indi is in a tight third set

Alicia took the first set against Tegan but was made to work hard for it

Alice is struggling to get over the line in the first set

Yes Mimi has done her exams and has had injuries and still not recovered from those injuries properly.
Taking some time to recover. Hope she manages it.

You're underselling her. She did Maths A-Level 2 years early. She did Biology last year and was doing Economics this year.

Mika yet again was a double break up and throws away service games so now it's back level

Edit: and then Mika breaks and can serve for the set, she doesn't do things the easy way

Mika broken to love, on we go
