Congrats to Alicia and Naiktha! Alicia going for her 5th title of the year (and first W50) and Naiktha looking for her first in 7 years

I've been following bits of the match between Alicia and Hannah on and off, Hannah's serve again seems to be a big issue but would appreciate hearing what others think of how the two are playing

Hannah's serve was an issue in the first set - not enough first serves, and it rattles her, it's the foundation of her game

In the second set, though, she served far better

Alicia was playing really well, IMO, right up till the end, where she got a bit nervous

She was putting Hannah under a lot of pressure, hitting very deep and flat

Hannah messed up everal easyish crosscourt forehands, slapping them, and a few were on important points which was a shame

But I thought Hannah played well, far more positive, far more intent, than she's shown in some of her matches earlier this year

The score was fair

Very handy of Dodin to retire from her match as I had her to win on my coupon and her retirements just voids that bit and keeps me alive.

All British final is fun!

Looks good stuff all round.

Alicia continues to impress and keeps on moving up the rankings, now live ranked 229 and good to see Hannah continuing recent form, up tp live ranked 369.

On top of that great to see such form from Naiktha ( CH 199 ), now back up to live ranked 376.

 Yes

And both Alicia and Hannah must have big points coming off really soon

At Aldershot W35 last year, Alicia won, beating Hannah in the final, I seem to remember

Was Roehampton, with points due off on 17/08 ( 35 for Alicia, 23 for Hannah ). Not my memory I hasten to add, didn't even recall such a final but I went and had a look.

If only someone had a great idea to build a site where it's easy to see GB players points dropping...

Ah, but mental agility - it's like physical exercise - if you don't use it, you lose it

We could all watch people do sport and never move off the sofa, or all rely on great sites and never keep two thoughts in our head

(Of course, we might only keep one thought in our head and the other might be wrong, but trying is good too)

Watching the stream, surprised to say the least that there appear to be only half a dozen spectators for a 50k final between 2 Brits. I've never seen even a 25/35k final without British players drawing so little interest.

The itf's in nottingham are always short of spectators unfortunately. They don't publicise them as far as i can tell. Its been a good match so far though.
