Does a bye count as a victory?  If so...is this Robert Dee's first ever victory?

According to STEVEGTENNIS Kasiri was in main draw but his place has gone to a lucky loser. He seems to have disappeared of the face of the earth. Does anyone know why?

Also, Irwin not playing doubles is unusual isn't it?

Well done Ross - take out the pesky wildcard!

Well done to Ross Connolly for qualifying Shame he wasn't able to get a ranking point though for his efforts

Ross teamed up with Malaysia's Jonathan Yip for the doubles and they made the quarters before losing to the 4th seeds. Robert Dee came really close to his first pro victory of any sorts, he and American Stephen Moros lost 6-7[3], 6-4, 6-7[6] in rd1 doubles

Irwin's regular doubles partner is Josh Goodall, at the moment Richard's not ranked high enough in singles to play the same tournaments as Josh for this month. Maybe he didn't think any of the other Brits in this tournament were of a high enough calibre to partner him ?

Unfortunately the drawsheets list Kasiri's withdrawal but give no reason ? I wonder whether he's still struggling with his shoulder injury. That put him out of action for large periods of 2005 and he had to have it operated on
