Shame for Felix with regards to the draw, he was actually playing some great tennis. Definitely think he has a lot more potential to go further up the rankings. Nice groundies, good leftie serve, strong slicing on the backhand side. Some wild errors here and there, but showed a lot of grit.
.
The draw was tough luck for FG but looking forward to seeing more of Jodar.

Agreed, he seems such a complete player for someone so young
L128: (Q) Shintaro Mochizuki (JPN) WR 151 defeated (Q) Max Basing WR 329 by 3, 0 & 0
Disappointing. Had hoped for better than that against the WR 151.From the bits I saw Max was a puppet on a string.
Real pity for Max for his debut on such a stage and probably hit by stage fright. But after a slight hiccup in the Q WC play-offs, he fully deserved his place here, having done great to come through qualifying. Onwards ...
And Team GB (M) finally gets a set on the board courtesy of Cam against Zheng (7-6(7) - 56 minutes), who's giving him a bit of a run for his money, retrieving a break when Cam served for it at 5-4.
Who's the plonker with the northern accent doing the voiceover when coverage is halted briefly on one court so that updates can be given on the progress (or the lack of it!) of British players in action other courts? I lost count of the number of times he pronounced "Basing" as "Bass-ing" before he eventually corrected it! He's also pronouncing "Zheng" as "Jeng". Utterly clueless!
