Thanks for this, I hadn't realised that Arthur had moved to the UK when he was less than 1. Makes more sense now, and fills in some of the questions that I had been asking myself.

Fery is about as British as Bedene.

Read into that what you will

Anyone - someone moving here when a baby and living here most of their life, surely that makes them 100% British? It does to me!

About as British as, or more than, Kyle Edmund or Jo Konta or Emma Raducanu or Greg or a heap of others ....

But I guess you're irritated by being one of the 'poor, deprived' multitudes with only one passport? smilecry

I thought Vandenburg was Norwegian anyway (from the flag) ? Which is why it is so funny their best footballer is actually English after he makes this comment!

From his/her profile "Nordic, that has lived in the UK for 15 years"

This has been mightily impressive from Zverev, the first set always felt crucial for Arthur to stand a chance and since the start of that tie break he has completely overpowered Fery

SF:  (2) Alexander Zverev (GER) WR 3 defeated (WC) Arthur Féry WR 114 by 7-6(0) 6-2 6-4

Ah well, it was good while it lasted.    And no doubt he'll learn from today's experience.  As per Andrew Cotter, "overpowered & outclassed, a masterclass".  cry  At least he managed one service break.

Agree. Zverev showed his class and serve today! Arthur couldnt really get a handle on it, but thanks for the memories Arthur.Managed to resurrect British tennis at Wimbledon single handed. Onwards and upwards.

Well, what a fortnight for Arthur!
Zverev definitely a class above - that's no criticism of Arthur, just a fact.
Onwards Arthur and be very proud!!!!
