British girls doing well coming out the blocks today, we've been a set and a break up a few times but mixed results from there.

Sherif shanks her way to 40-0*, and Heather has three match points. Floats a defensive slice long, Sherif winner (but too passive from Heather and it gave her the opportunity), another cautious rally and she goes long.

Just was waiting for Sherif to lose there. Excellent response to the drop shot to get match point 4. Yes! She actually tries to win it and she does!

Woohoo.

Thank goodness Ella gets over the line in the first set 6-3, I thought the double faults were going to cost her

So how many of you actually watched the match ? I didn't notice Annabell's daughter there, but she did talk to her coach a lot.

Isn't it Annabel's daughter, the one doing all the interviewing, with hair like Anbabel's?

If it's not, it's some other interviewer and makes no difference

I was there for all of it and, in the third set, was right next to the Annabel daughter girl, and it was dreadful - twice she told her she was stopping because of this, and half laughed, once she said it whole going to her chair, and there were lots of half-giggles, shrugs, just nonsense stuff

Genuinely impressed by Hev today. Great serving, some cracking winners, good drop shots and slicing, along with some great winners in response to Sherif's dropshots. I know Sherif isn't a grass court player but Heather really looked great.

It's Abigail Johnson who is doing commentary and post-match interviews.

Its Abigail Johnson doing the interviewing. On TV anyway. I believe her and Katy are very good friends

FYI, it's not Annabel's daughter. Abigail is a random commentator who does a lot of the YouTube British Tour commentating and has recently graduated to BBC/Tennis Channel world feed on occasion. She interviewed Katy about 18 months ago, and they hit it off, becoming fast friends.

Heather was fabulous today. Hit through the ball, had a game plan, stuck to it. Given how many times I've seen Heather play awfully and nervously at Wimbledon, this was a delight!

Is there coverage of the Ella match on iPlayer? I could only see coverage for court 1 today.

Yes,CD, that was Abigail with Marni.
Mimi was around earlier.

I had to leave, got some sunscreen on my eye and can't concentrate.

Didn't spot you today, although we must have been very close

Ella loses the second set 7-4 in the breaker (she was miles behind throughout)
