Emily double faults to lose the set 7-5.

Indi *2-2 but it's four breaks.

 Indi holds !!! smile

I assume Birrell normally plays better than this - coz she's barely found the court so far

Indi had two SPs

The second one was on her racket and her arm looked SO heavy

Indi Spink had another SP in the tiebreak

Her backhand is nice, especially the crosscourt whipped one

but the forehand lets her down time and time again

Real shame - lots of chances there, and ends up losing the TB 8-6

Emily also had her chances - but a better opponent

However, Emily has a habit of letting matches just slip through her grasp

7-5 7-3 to Stearns

It looks like all the ladies are playing well but just struggling at the key moments, would love to see Indi pick up a win as the 12 points would give her ranking a big lift

The main draw is out with a qualifier for Harriet

Hannah draws fellow youngster, Valentova

Fran gets Ostapenko - which will be interesting

And Alicia will be happy-ish to get Jess B Maneiro - none is easy but there is worse

NB Top seed, Paolini, won't be happy to get Tatti Maria

Does top seed, Ole. Oli., know that she's playing on grass?

And that moonballs aren't the norm?

Go, Sofia

Already 3-0 up

And Sofia takes the first set 6-0

Hilarious

Indi fought back but ended up losing - the issue for her is the first set, not the second

From what I can see, this is her 2nd ever match on Grass. Her first was at Wimbledon qualifying last year, where she lost in three sets to Diane Parry.

Tx - kounosuke - it certainly looks that way

She's won the first game of the second, though, more thanks to a couple of errors from Sofia

That was SO weird

Completely gobsmacked

All credit to Sofia

But what is that Ukrainian woman thinking of ?

Dani Britton would have smashed her today

Or Dani Britton's Granny

Brilliant for Sofia, though, take it, enjoy, and have a lovely evening
