Just got back. Watched all of Toby and Harry.
Really impressed with Toby. Was very comfortable on serve and never looked in danger of not putting Halys away. Expecting big things from him.
Harry I have always liked but I dont really think he has the weapons against Top 100 players.
Saw a lot of Felix and Trungelletti played very well first set but a good quality match and Felix showing he can play on all surfaces.
A real shame to see Felix lose, one cannot but help feel for the young man, thrown to the lions by the wildcard committee for his unwarranted main draw present. It would have been nice for him to get some scalps here to reverse the momentum of public discourse.
Very impressive looking wins by Giles and Hamish over Duckworth WR 78 and Nava WR 85 respectively. Apparently that is a first top 100 win for Hamish.
Also very competitive performances by Alastair and Charles against Arnaldi WR 34 ( and RG semi finalist ) and Giron WR 86 respectively.
These 4 were losers from the Wimbledon WC play-offs so not among our total of 22 men competing in Wimbledon MD and Q.
Looking forward to seeing how these players that did get through the play-offs ( ultimately all 4 semi finalists ) do in Wimbledon Q! Plus of course our other 9 in Q in a total of 13.
