What a tremendous result for Alicia. Should really boost her confidence.

I was expecting Freya and Eden to be in the draw

L16:- Storm Hunter (AUS) / Caty McNally (USA) CR64 (19+45) [1] v Alicia Dudeney (GBR) / Mimi Xu (GBR) CR465 (208+257) [WC]
L16:- Harriet Dart (GBR) / Maia Lumsden (GBR) CR172 (104+68) [WC] v Darija Jurak Schreiber (CRO) / Antonia Ruzic (CRO) CR1847 (971+876)

Edit:- Perhaps Freya and Eden are going to play in the WC playoffs. Both well down the rankiings though.

They would have been well outside the cut. Harriet and Maia needed a WC to get in so Freya and Eden would stand no chance. Or am I missing something?

I can't see how they'd get into the play-offs. Theyre not one of the direct entrants and the discretionary WCs will go to juniors.

Yeh, my playoff comment was rather stupid - they are nowhere near getting in, either on ranking or by wildcard.

Freya played Nottingham two years ago, partnered by Lissey. They didn't need a wildcard though and Freya was ranked 277 at the time. They were well-beaten by Dabrowski and Routliffe, who won the title that year.

Jurak Schreiber must be using SR to get in, and Ruzic on singles ranking. Lots of players in the draw ranked 50-60

Harriet vs Katie will be an interesting one, I remember their meeting at Wimbledon a few years back that involved so many tears and quite a lot of tension between the pair

Do we think either will play considering they're in the Queens finals tomorrow?
