Week 24 - WTA250 - Nottingham, Great Britain - Grass

There is only one SE slot at WTA tournaments. As the matches involving those players have been delayed due to weather I think they are elegible, and the higher ranked player will get it.

It's irrelevant whether she can get to Nottingham. Players are automatically withdrawn if they are scheduled to play in their current tournament on the same day as their first match in the following week tournament.

Ok, so that solves that - Mika will get an alt as opponent then?

I wouldn't think an SE could be awarded after the qualifying draw has been made as if the SE wasn't needed then that would not be fair on the next in that missed out on a direct place and who might be in qualifying instead?

Well, I guess they'll update the draw and the order of play at some time then

And the main draw, we'll have to wait and see

Am I out of date, I thought an SE came with reaching a semi in the last event? Or is it QF? Or timing? Ie still involved elsewhere ?

In the WTA, they can get a SE if they are still competing due to weather delays.

People saying that she has the SE because the draw was done before the match had been rescheduled

Don't know if that's right but, yes, she has one

Probably good news for Mika.....

Already a set down I'm afraid.

Hannah had multiple set points, particularly at 5-3, but eventually claimed the first set 7-6(5) with an ace

And Hannah takes a tiebreak 7-5.

Mistake above - Zakharova is WR85 in official rankings.
