RE: £200k - Edgbaston

Naomi serving:

0-15...0-30 not what we wanted at all.

15-40. two match points to Czink.

30-40, only one more to save, come on Naomi

darn GSM Czink.

Oh **** Naomi loses 3-6, 7-5, 7-5

Fantastic performance against a world class player but really Naomi should have won, she had so many chances. She only took 2/12 bps. Hopefully she can learn from this

Naomi must be gutted at coming so close but she can be really proud of herself after that match

Great news for naomi, she played well and looks like a top 100 player than her actual ranking!! Well done!! Wonder if she up for a lucky loser spot?

She was probably the lowest ranked player in the qualifying draw so probably not.

Hasn't it just changed to a 'pick from the hat' system? Or is that just the men/not yet/just being thought about? (I know is was discussed on here somewhere but don't remember what was said exactly)

I think it is `pick from the hat` but I thought they picked from the highest ranked players to lose? (That`s supposedly what they did at Roland Garros, for the men and women)

I don't know then.

Me neither. Why do they alter things to make it more complicated?

If someone pulls out we`d know but otherwise ...

checking the edgbaston live scores, but it states that ardvisson has won without playing!! but then the same has been given to other matches!

is the live scoreboard not working?

It`s working now. I should be around to do scores for Mel v Sarah and Katie`s match when they`re on.

I had that, it seems to be working now though, says that Czink/Arvisson is 1 game apiece. and that the other matches are all in their first/second games so maybe it was just that nothing had started.

Interestingly, Czink is seemingly few problems with the higher-ranked Arvidsson. She`s 5-2 up, with Arvidsson serving to stay in the set after only 16 minutes.

Czink lost the set in a TB Strange set.

Mel v Sarah is on afterwards so hopefully it will end soon.
