Ground staff are hopeful of play on court 5 soon
They had to dig a trench at one end of the court this morning to drain water away

Surely they have to move Katie's match to a different court if there's still little sign of play on Court 5, quite incredible that it's her and Alex Bolt that are the only round 1 matches that haven't even started

Edit - realised there's 2 other mens matches that haven't started but are next on Centre and Court 1

Mimi had really lost the match before they suspended last night and wasn't on court long to make it final. Tricky opponent.

Fascinating stream on https://en.sportplus.live/tennis/2865651/7959842/ for Katie's match. Scoreboard ticking over, play in action on the next court BUT not a soul to be seen on this court.

Of course, they moved the match to court 4

First set to Katie 7-5.

Alex Bolt has just been beaten so he can come and support.

Did anyone watch the match? just from watching the score tick over it seemed a close fought match with many games going to deuce, and Swan seemed to put Martincova under a whole heap of concerted pressure.

Pity they are drawn to meet in the QF

I watched for 3-2 second set and other than a brief blip on one of her service games which she still won, Katie looked pretty good.  Very much in control.

Earlier in the set there wasn't much to choose between them but Katie toughed it out after which there was only one winner
