Doubles

Looks a strong draw, with nearly half of the top 20 doubles players involved. Not certain about Liv and Tereza's opponents though - both seemingly retired and in their 40's - and look like lucky on-site sign ins.

And yes, Serena is in the draw with Mboko, but faces the #3 seeds Routliffe and Melichar-Martinez.

How are folk watching the quaiies?. Supposedly on Sky but my Now Tv app on phone doesn't seem to offer it. Thanks

 

It's ok, I can watch on Bet 365 anyway I have found and from tomorrow we have the Beeb.biggrin

Another example of the daft LTA policy as regards events

Jodie is making her comeback and has to play a player ranked WR 103 - which is pretty much the best she could hope for if she was on absolute top form and had never been injured

A nice W75 - W100 event, with players in the 200s, would have been perfect

Jodie should have played Ilkley. But there aren't enough WC's to go round, so another tournament would be better. Bring back Surbiton.

Nasty fall for Hannah who was running at full speed, got the ball (and hit a winner) but couldn't brake and hell quite heavily on her side

She's up now though and, cross fingers, seems OK
