Surely Harriet would have been better off with a Qualifying Wild card; a better chance to get a win and earn some points.
Or even a main draw wildcard for Ilkley given that the points are comparable to Queens qualifiers and the player rankings are lower, I could see Harriet winning 2 matches at Ilkley more easily than qualifying for Queens but I guess 1 win at Queens gives 60 points so maybe she gets a nice main draw opponent

QR1:- Anna Blinkova (***) WR103 [9] v Jodie Burrage (GBR) WR558 [QWC]
The winners of Hannah and Heather's match meet in the FQR
Tough to see any winners there - but hopefully Hannah steps it up and puts in a better performance!
The only previous wins by our players against their opposition was Lily against Tatjana by retirement and Jodie who beat Anna in the 2023 US Open. 2023 was the year Jodie achieved a CH of 85 and Tatjana achieved a CH of 34 so they were both at their peak.
I cant believe they gave the wildcard to Dart over Maria. What a truly awful decision.
100 per cent agree!
But she is still in it with only a couple of relatively easy matches to add to whatever she might do in defence of her title. Either she loses in qualifying, in which case the decision is sound, or she wins through to the main draw, in which case no harm done.

I don't agree
The decision to give a wildcard is not to do with her level now (i.e. the win or loss in qualis) - it's to do with the her level last year - as champion
And the harm is done already - to me, the disrespect is the harm, it's done
