I happened to catch the last 3 points of Jones' win. At 5-3 in the tie break, Zhou came into the net and volleyed wide for 6-3. I didn't notice at the time, but his racket was then on the court, following the conclusion of the point. The umpire then awarded a penalty point for Zhou throwing his racket in anger. It then got a bit spicy between Zhou and the umpire, as he tried to claim he dropped it as a result of a continuous motion of the shot. Regardless, the umpire stuck with her decision and awarded Jones the match. After Zhou eventually gave up his protest and shook Jones' hand, he then cracked his racket off the umpires chair as he walked past her, not shaking her hand. Understandably, emotions get high at times during big points, but his behaviour toward the umpire was very poor. The mic on the umpire's chair also caught a very sour comment along the lines of "the best umpire ever", either from Zhou or his coach who had just joined him. Such a shame for a match to finish like that, especially for Ben who just had to stand there and wait for it to all come to a conclusion. Either way, a great result for him and then for Ollie almost immediately after!

Interesting.  Thanks for that, Mr Burnett.

Dan had at least two MPs, I think, in that tiebreak, definitely one on his serve

 Tx

I do know that umpires are particularly fussy /careful about grass courts - and they're quite right - it's not a hard court - you take a chunk out of it and it can't be fixed easily - and it's really dangerous

So good on her

Ali G was 6-4 up in the second set TB - might even have been 6-3 up

And ended up losing it, and the match

What a cracker !!!!!!!!

Paul Jubb broke at 5-5 in the 3rd to serve for it - and served a real horror of a game

Went to a TB

Paul was 2-4 down

And 3-5 down, I think

And then just cranked it up - and won !!!

He was SO thrilled
