Great wins for Martin Lee and Alan Mackin. Didn't Andy Kennaugh do well to take Delic to three and have him in a bit of trouble. I think it was a pretty cool wild card choice. He did win the junior tournament last year. Hopefully he can do well in Wimbledon qualifying or wild card play off as well.

Arvind Parmar is on the way out of professional tennis in my opinion. Bring on Jamie Baker, Morgan Phillips, Martin Lee or Andy Kennaugh as British No 5.

Richard Bloomfield v Dancevic of Canada.

Dancevic must be favourite but if Bloomers can serve well he's every chance! That end of the draw looks possibly the most open for a Brit. Would have been Arvinds section if he'd won but never mind!

I thyink some of the Brits should have tried qualifying for Halle. The qualies direct acceptance cut was 355 there, which would have meant more space at Queens for Auckland/Fleming etc... Also they'd have more chance of qualifying!

Looks like we missed this among the World Cup build up.

Thanks for the great commentary Drew and USF, just read through it all. So glad for Martin and Alan. Andy also should be very very proud/pleased with himself after that performance I think. Shame about Arvind, I hope he isn't injured as he did rather fall away suddenly.

Bloomfield trying to break to stay in the match

Well done to Mackin and Lee for good wins.. But I suppose the next qualifying round for Mackin might be tough as he could face the top seed..

Pity though to see Parmar, Kennaugh and Bloomfield.
