For all the carnage of the top players it is noteworthy that Maja is the only unseeded quarter finalist!

 I enjoyed seeing Diana Shnaider beating Sabalenka today on TNT. In 2023 I saw her lose by 6-3, 7-6 to Anna Brogan in an excellent match in the second round of Wimbledon qualis. Their paths have diverged somewhat since!
