Gave it a good go. Too many errors in the end. For me, the over reliance on running round the backhand is still an issue. I get why she does it but too often she does it at the wrong time and ends up out of position and balloons an silly error - just sometimes needs to realise it's not the time.

Emma's loss to Sierra perhaps not such a bad result after all given the way she dispatched Paolini.

Sierra played a good match but Jasmine has been struggling with foot and ankle injuries for a little while and by early in the third set was quite significantly hampered with her movement, and was quite emotional about it all. I wouldn't be surprised if she misses the grass.

Sierra was double bagelled by Cirstea, so perhaps a bad result after all

Cirstea is the form player at the moment. Only dropped 7 games in three matches, and had a great run in Rome.

I see Katie has posted on Instagram about those stupid on court advertising stands after she fell over one during her match. It seems there have been multiple instances of players doing this in the first few days and still RG persists in putting advertising profits ahead of player safety. It is not a good look at a time when the players are already mutinous over the issue of prize money and I fear a major tournament is going to end up being badly impacted by player action soon if the organizers don't start paying attention to their concerns.

Yes, Somnez injured herself quite nastily doing exactly the same thing

Utterly daft

Lacoste actually ends up getting really bad publicity, IMO

(also, there's a clear court claim here, if the players' council could be bothered, or Somnez herself had the money/energy - very simple under English law, not so sure under French)

They lost that first set but have just gone a break up in the second set, 4-6 *3-1

Liv is also scheduied to play a mixed doibles L16 match with Henry Patten later today.

Taken the second set 6-3. Liv doesn't appear to be hampered at all, despite having the top of her right thigh strapped.

A little better in the second set, but the stats show just how poor a match it was overall (35UFE against 23)

L16:- Tereza Mihalikova (SVK) / Olivia Nicholls (GBR) CR56 (28+28) [10] lost to Magali Kempen (BEL) / Andreja Klepac (SLO) CR251 (67+184) 2-6 5-7

Maja Chwalinska into the QF. I remember watching her lose an ITF final against MaiaLumsden on the Wirral in 2017
