Katie has broken Potapova's serve. She leads 2-0 first set. Early days but good to see Katie hitting so confidently.

Edit: Potapova broke straight back, Sorry Katie for jinxing you! I'll keep quiet.

If Katie could stop doing her drive volleys short and right down the middle it would help

Or just stop doing them all together

 Yes

Stop doing those pushed backhands too would be a good idea

Very similar styles. Katie needs to keep being positive.

Liv and Tereza save a set point to get to a tiebreak. Pretty poor stuff.

Katie is doing ok by my eyes. Definitely a few silly things crept in this set but I never assume she's going to be at the races at all on the red stuff.

One set all

Liv and Tereza take the tie-break 7-2. Actually dominated play for a change. For most of the set the French wildcards seemd to have the knack of putting the ball in awkward places and L+T weren't postive enough.

Trying to watch Katie on the TV and the doubles on laptop - I'll leave the comments on Katie to the rest of you !

Slipping away now. Errors starting to flow as she gets a bit flustered.
