RE: Weeks 21 & 22 - French Open (Roland-Garros) - Paris, France (clay) - DOUBLES

The boys justify their seeding:

SF:  (2) Harri Heliövaara (FIN) & Henry Patten CR 8 (4+4) defeated Quentin Halys & Pierre-Hugues Herbert (FRA/FRA) CR 144 (87+57) by 3 & 4  biggrin

More comfortable than I expected!  smile

Into the final without losing a set all event AND now confirmed as joint world number ones!!

As do the top seeds, beating the fifth seeds, Bolelli & Vavassori, in straight sets:

Final:  (1) Marcel Granollers & Horacio Zeballos (ESP/ARG) CR 5 (3+2) vs (2) Harri Heliövaara (FIN) & Henry Patten CR 8 (4+4)

Well it feels the right final. H and H guaranteed top race as well as ranking position as a result. This is going to be a very interesting final.

Yes, great final line-up.

A year after Joe & Neal became the first Brits to reach a RG men's doubles final since 1936, Henry has the chance to be a first British winner since 1933 ( Pat Hughes & Fred Perry ).

10 am start BST for Harri and Henry. Good luck to them! Finland won the Ice Hockey World Championship last weekend, maybe that will flow through to Harri for inspiration as the Finnish equivalent of England winning the football World Cup!

That would be big if he achieves that

First set gone, 4-6. G and Z seemed on top most of the set

Unfortunately my "go to" platform to watch, Bet365, is not showing the game

Early second set break also. Not going to plan.

And an honourable mention in despatches by the ATP.
