Weeks 18 & 19 - ATP Masters 1000 - Internazionali BNL d'Italia - Rome, Italy (clay)

Jake sitting on two set points and it looks like match got called off! Is that overnight (presumably as it is 1015 pm over in Rome?).

Jake is due to restart shortly.

I wasn't watching but it doesn't look like Jake has 2 SPs. He is a break up but showing as 5-3* and at the start of the 9th game.

You're correct - it is the way sofascore (is that Bet365? shows the scores, it shows it as 40-15 as opposed to showing the game being won, so he had converted that 40-15 point to make it 5-3 as opposed to sitting at 40-15 and already at 5-3, if that makes sense!

Anyway, they are underway again, and GMP is serving to stay in the set

A rather bitty TB is lost 6-8 from 4-2* up at one stage.

6-7(6)

GMP seems to have come back today with renewed intent - Greg must have had a word overnight

Russell fuller wrote on the BBC today about the injury hit Brits, and how Jake had been out 7 weeks with rib injury. 7 weeks surprised me, I hadnt realised. But maybe, if he is over the injury, we will see him start to return to form. Hopefully his confidence his returning.

He can beat GMP, for sure

That puts the kibosh on his chances!

The Russell Fuller article.

Looks like it did hit his chances - sorry!

GMP is 5-2 up final set after Jake took the second set.

Real shame for Jake.  He played really good tennis BUT he does need to sort out the double faults.  That just let him down at crucial points.  He did 3 doubles in at least 2 games and 2 in others.

Anyone watching?

Only break of serve has been in Cam's very first service game.

4-6 4-3*
